Feng Yu Jiu Tian vol. 24: Postscript (Feng Nong Author’s note)

Translator: churnie

Ohohoh! It’s postscript time again.

Did i ever tell everyone that writing a postscript was the happiest time for an author?

Really, because writing a postscript means — another piece of work has been completed! Don’t need to be afraid of the editor to rush the script! Don’t have to hide in the corner like a shriveled tortoise! Of course, there are many, many other meanings, such as… uh, i can have a holiday, go to a barbecue or something…

First of all, I will answer a few questions about “Feng Yu Jiu Tian”.

How many book of “Feng Yu Jiu Tian” will there be?

Well, there is no specific plan yet (answer carefully with using pan lid to cover the head~), but the fourth season which is currently in progress, the Tong Kingdom part, is almost finished, that is to say, 25 books, the story has come to an end here! Yeah! Four seasons! Four seasons!

Are the scientific principles in the 24th volume true?

Because Nong Nong is not a professional, I can only say that I have consulted some professionals for this issue. In fact, the ships are destroyed in the wind and waves, there are many examples from ancient times to the present, the bombs with the size of basketballs created underwater whirlpools, if the wind was strong enough at that time, it was enough to cause the ship to sink.

Of course, everything depends on the actual situation at that time.

But the mast is also very useful.

In history, I heard that Genghis Khan once ordered to create the world’s largest and most terrifying fleet at that time, he crossed the ocean to conquer Ryukyu, and finally the entire army was mysteriously destroyed in the bay near Ryukyu.

(Ryūkyū kingdom 1429-1879 (on modern Okinawa).)

This was an astonishing mystery in ancient history, for a period of time, some experts thought it was just a legend, because a huge fleet disappeared overnight, which is really similar to a legend.

However, a recent research has found that there are wrecks of ancient warships on the bottom of the sea where the story originated, and after textual research, the age of the items is also in line with the legend.

What makes Nong Nong ‘wow’ is that I heard that they were caught in a sudden storm, and the entire huge fleet was done for.

Why do people die when they encounter a storm? Later experts studied the wrecks of ancient ships on the bottom of the sea, and came to a conclusion that there was something wrong with their masts.

But Genghis Khan used the best shipbuilders and the best wood, but maybe the construction schedule was too tight, or the shipbuilders were the prisoners that their homeland occupied by Genghis Khan and didn’t pay attention to quality, the combination of the mast and wedge joints were not strong enough —— This is a taboo for the balance of the ship, in case of a storm, the ship can easily capsize.

Sure enough, the entire fleet was destroyed.

It was through this case that Nong Nong found out, wow! It turned out that the mast was so important for keeping the balance of the ship!

Of course, sails were also very important.

As for the others, the whirlpool, wind force, etc. caused by the explosion are all theoretical applications of physical knowledge, I can only say that they are theoretical applications, Nong Nong hasn’t done any whirlpool experiments myself…

Lie down~

Then, what about the calcium oxide?

Chemically speaking, calcium oxide forms calcium hydroxide when it meets water and releases a lot of reaction heat, should my younger sister who has taken a chemistry class remember? Nong Nong really liked the calcium hydroxide experiment back then, because it was lively and had a great chemical reaction, so interesting, hehe.

Calcium hydroxide is a strong alkali (everyone should be careful, strong alkali are very dangerous like strong acids, one of my classmates once accidentally burned his hand… The wound was terrible that it festered after turning completely black…. huhuhu.) Therefore, when calcium oxide meets with water and touches on the skin, it can cause alkali burns and thermal burns of the skin, which aggravate each other.

The burn wound is dry, brown, and painful, and usually there is residual calcium oxide on the wound.

Well, Nong Nong admit that the degree of the skin burnt caused by the calcium oxide in vol. 24 is a little more serious.

Some people may wonder whether calcium oxide can really ignite things when it is heated by water? Does it really work like fire?

This has been applied in the wars in ancient Chinese history. Of course, they didn’t use a bomb, it would be great if it was a bomb!

Nong Nong has checked the historical data, the chemical application of this calcium oxide is called “Thunderbolt Cannon”, which uses a paper tube as a barrel and contains things such as calcium oxide and sulfur.

When firing, the gun barrel is first shot into the air, after the gun barrel falls into the water, the sulfur and calcium oxide will expand when they meet the water, ignite, jump out of the water, and then the paper tube will burst.

The calcium oxide smoke is scattered, which can confuse the enemy, and more importantly, it will hurt the enemy’s eyes.

Real examples of usage are:

In 1126, when the Jin Dynasty people besieged the capital city, General Li Wang of the Song Dynasty ordered the firing of thunderbolt cannons to repel the enemy.

In 1161, Yu Yunwen also used the Thunderbolt Cannon when he was in Caishijiji to defeat the Golden Army.

La la la! Look, the weapons Nong Nong used are not a complete nonsense, right? I think it’s a little real and a little fake, a bit theoretical and a bit fantasy, so it’s interesting to write it, and I’m happy that i’m shaking my tail~

What is written above is the little knowledge in “Feng Yu Jiu Tian”, now let’s talk about Taiwan, because – Nong Nong can go to Taiwan! oooooooo! Taiwanese food is delicious!

Although I’ve gained a lot of weight on this trip to Taiwan to sign autographs, Nong Nong has no regrets at all.

Taiwanese snacks are so delicious!

Nong Nong ate du xiao yue, the meatballs are delicious! There’s also shrimp in it!

Du xiao yue

There is also mango shaved ice, which is simply delicious!

Mango shaved-ice

Wang Xiao Yi also has gained a lot of weight like Nong Nong … But, it’s, definitely, worth, the price!

Nong Nong likes Taiwan very much, the readers are very enthusiastic and polite, they have been waiting in line for a long time on a hot day, but they are not impatient, everyone is smiling.

By the way, I also received a lot of cute gifts~

Bow, thank you again for everyone who supports Nong Nong!

If there is still a chance, I would like to go to Taiwan again, there are many interesting things to buy, many delicious things, and many kind and friendly friends. Taiwan is a good place!

Finally, I would like to thank classmate Qian Mo who has always endured resentment and did not rush up to urge the script, your tolerance and generosity will always be remembered in Nong Nong’s heart, pet~ pet~

By the way, “Feng Yu Jiu Tian” manhua will be out soon. Wang Xiao Yi draws very seriously, and very… cough… I didn’t say anything….

Looking forward to the “Feng Yu Jiu Tian” manhua! Whisper… Rong Tian’s nude picture… made my nose bleed…

If you have anything to say to Nong Nong, you can write to Nong Nong, my email is fengnong@vip.163.com (I have tried to contact it but the email can’t be sent, maybe inactive)

I hope to see everyone’s comment. I love to read comment the most!

Thank you again for your support!

Bow ~

Seriously work hard to write Feng Ming’s Nong Little Seme

Translator’s note:

Wait, i just knew that Feng Nong has official Feng Yu Jiu Tian manhwa/comic/manga. Why am I so out to date? Feel so stupid.

I have seen FYJT manhwa from 2015 ago, when i searched everything relate to FYJT but what i’ve found now is totally different, i don’t know if the one i found on 2015 was only doujinshi or what..

the manhwa i found in 2015

the manhwa i found now

It is the same scene when Feng Ming just woke up, but you can see it’s totally different.

You can find the english translation manhwa on various manga website under the title “Phoenix of the Nine Heavens”.

The english scanlation manhua only up to 158 chapters but the Raw Chinese manhua has reached 238 chapters, the Chinese website also has bigger HD quality. You can find Raw Chinese manga here -> https://www.cocomanga.com/14084/1/2.html

The manga/manhwa version is more like comedy romance, all the NC scene are skipped, the plot also move very fast because we also know the novel is so long and has hundreds chapters overall. (probably most of you already read it, i really late to know it)

As for the novel, as what Feng Nong said, the whole Tong Kingdom vs Feng Ming war series is FYJT 4th season, from vol.15 up to vol.25, initially Feng Nong end FYJT in vol.25, 4th season.

The following volumes will be included in new season, that is 5th season or season 5.

So for now, i will translate vol.25 to complete the whole 4th season. The following volume 26 and so on, will be decided later.

Thanks everyone for reading and commenting.

  1. Thank you so much Churnie and to the author, amazing work by both of you!!

I have actually being reading the new manga for a while. There have been no new translated chapter out for a while. So not sure if the scanlation group dropped it or not. Time will tell if someone else picks it up since there are so many more chapters in the raw.

Looking forward to what else is coming our way. Hopefully it is time to take back their home and get rid of that usurper!!

Churnie take a good rest and again thank you so much for making this real for us!! 🧡🙌

      1. Yah, i read other manhua and it is very hard. Translating, editing, adding the subs, cleaning the pages, scanning the pages which is actually harder than it looks because they always come out way to dark.

  2. I have been following FYJT for a long time, like only vol 4 was translated back then and needless to say it has come a long way and thanks to you.
I really want to thank you for continuing to translate this work.
But i also have a question, i dont have access to raws but according to Goodreads there are upto 29 vols and last one was published in 2012. Has the author dropped this? Cause i know she has other works being published. i don’t know Chinese so I can’t read any articles on that but i thought you might know.
    Sorry if its a bother.

      1. I hope you will finish upto vol 29 even if it takes a long time.
I understand translation this novel is no easy task and the fact that you are doing this for free means a lot. Thanks for the effort.
I will wait until the end to see what’s next in the story.
